We found a way to help the neediest and most underserved students receive a 2 year college degree in local communities seeking a quality higher education program with a biblical worldview. Our Community Christian College provides such education with minimal costs. However, to continue this effort, we now need your help.
Unlike most institutions of higher education, our professors seek free textbooks on behalf of their students and often need to teach students how to use their phones and laptops at locations that offer public wi-fi so they can access the Internet. Community Christian College is penetrating a market that few others would tackle.
Community Christian College in California is the last surviving two-year nationally accredited Christian community college left in this great nation. Although not a low cost government-run community college, Community Christian College is very affordable for our students who are mostly inner-city males and Hispanic females with children.
In addition to our campus programs in Redlands and Fontana, California, we have fashioned a method to enroll students throughout the nation by establishing a unique program. We create “clusters” of students at various locations throughout the U.S. through a contractual affiliation with a sports academy, church, not-for-profit youth organization, school or other organization whereby the organization offers our on-line courses at their center. This enables us to provide needy students with online courses supported by a local retention coordinator/mentor.
Often we either create or contract with locally based football, wrestling, and basketball teams serving youth throughout the USA as an incentive for the students to enroll and thus provide participants with a quality academic program and a biblical worldview that would not otherwise be available to them.
However, as a California based two-year college, there are accreditation system complications with this program: Unlike anywhere else in the U.S., schools based in California must be licensed in each outreach state where it wants to offer solid local support for its online students. Therefore, we seek $60,000 to fund our efforts to obtain appropriate academic recognition in States where opportunities exist to help these underserved students and enable them to graduate within a two year period. These states include Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.
Why are your donations so essential at this time? Our major benefactor over the past 20 years passed away in October, 2018. His funds sustained us, permitting the college to offer citizens, within a safe and ethical environment, to be educated with a biblical worldview. Without his support, we now need to raise $60,000 in order to help students complete their on line degrees in the state in which they live.
Please partner with us in serving a group of students that are often forgotten.
