Pro-Life Educational Seminars
The Issues4Life Foundation is a Pro-Life organization dedicated to working within the Black-American Community. We're seeking your help for a special Pro-Life educational program we have created for Black pastors and their spouses.
The Issues4Life Foundation targets and works directly with Black American leaders throughout the nation to strengthen their stand against abortion on demand and to resolve bioethical questions that impact our humanity. The intent of this program is to sharpen the focus on the devastating effects of abortion within the Black-American community -- a group that is more adversely affected by abortion than any other group in America. Please read the Public Discourse article entitled: "Abortion’s Devastating Impact Upon Black Americans" by Arthur Goldberg (https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2019/02/48594/). Thank you Arthur!
Since abortion was legalized in 1973, more Black American babies have been killed by abortion than the total number of Black American deaths from all other causes combined. In New York City alone, more Black babies are aborted than born alive. Even today, Black Americans are no longer replacing themselves as their total fertility rate has dropped to 1.8, below the minimum replacement level of 2.1 (https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2019/02/48594/).
Your donations will help us educate Black American leaders from all backgrounds nationwide on how to strengthen their stand against abortion on demand and to resolve bioethical questions on other life and death issues.
We refer to this special educational program as the “Underground Railroad Seminars”. Our founder and director, Walter B. Hoye II, leads this seminar. Since its successful inauguration in 2017, this modern day version of the “Underground Railroad" has become the Pro-Life movement's premier strategy to reach Black Pastors nationwide with a biblically based Pro-Life message and give them the necessary tools to advocate for life in their communities. To date, the program has been most successful in educating and training these leaders within the Black-American community as to the uniqueness of abortion issues within the Black community. These lessons include understanding why it is important to reach communities of color and then how to actually do so.
Understanding the "Four Reasons" why Black leadership rejects the Pro-Life movement, allows the Underground Railroad seminars to create an environment where intimate conversations can be had. As such, both Pastor and his or her spouse must attend. After four days, in an undisclosed location, away from the Pastor's office and away from its distractions, this modern day version of the Underground Railroad successfully reaches the hearts and minds of the Pastors and their spouses. This immediately translates into each Pastor going back to their congregations and implementing Pro-Life programs there.
Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is a vital part of the “Underground Railroad Seminars”. She understands the importance of humanity as a whole within G-d’s plan of creation and says in her article entitled: "The Final Chapter" (http://www.iamaperson.us/thefinalchapter.html) "Personhood is indeed, the final chapter of the Civil Rights movement. And each person who's spared because of it will receive a priceless gift — the chance to write the chapters of his or her own life story." Thank you Alveda!
Because there is no charge to the pastors for attending and because our speakers share without honorariums in support of the Underground Railroad seminars, we seek to raise $45,000 to help us pay for the transportation, food, materials and lodging of both attendees and speakers.
In the mid 1850s the Underground Railroad, was a vast network of people who helped fugitive slaves escape to freedom. It was not run by any single organization or person. Rather, it consisted of many individuals. Many White, but predominantly Black Americans, served as "shepherds," "stationmasters," "stockholders," and "conductors".
Please, today, can you help us reach Black American leaders and protect pre-born children and their constitutionally protected personhood, regardless of their size, level of development, environment, and|or dependency by supporting this modern day version of the Underground Railroad.
